Jiangshi Character Reference Sheet

Original character design based off of the Chinese "jiangshi", or hopping zombie. The concept and aesthetics of these zombies always inspired me since I would see them all the time on TV. Usually, their bodies are so stiff they can only hop but I thought it would be interesting to draw some more animated poses. The outfit is a modernized take on the garments ancient Chinese officials would wear. Usually, the paper talismans are stuck to the forehead of jiangshi, but I wanted the face to be more visible to give the character a friendlier vibe, so I put the talismans on his neck instead.
